On first first listening to Myth, all the sonic elements that really set up the Baltimore dream-pop duo, Beach House, are evidently still intact. Dreamy guitar, a slow-steady back beat, and Victoria Legrand’s husky wail of a voice.
But take a deeper listen, and it really is bliss. The layers of echo on the vocals in the chorus, the ever hazy guitars, it’s just as “big” as anything they’ve done previously.
Beach House are back. Thank fuck.
